Hard to believe it but this year's dc trip is only 2 weeks away!
Please make sure you check out the updates for the trip at www.mrmsdc2019.weebly.com.
We want to give everyone a few last minute reminders:
1. We are in the process of finalizing all buses for the trips. We will be putting a final bus list out next week. These bus lists will not be posted online but instead will be posted for students to view in various parts of the 8th grade hallways. At this point all details are being finalized and those bus lists will not change from that point. In our first meeting we explained that students are only guaranteed to always be together with their roommates (four total people; which they selected in early December). When lists are posted groups will then see final chaperones.
2. This past Friday we were notified that we would need to get some information from each child attending the trip for the FBI Experience. The FBI requires that we collect the following information including First, Middle and Last name, DOB, Country of Birth, and Citizenship. We may have to ask students within their social studies classroom some of this information. Again, this is required when you visit the FBI which we are doing on Friday, March 15th. There is no need for parents to contact anyone regarding this as we will take care of this on our end in school.
3. If you have not reached out to the nurse regarding medical information the deadline has passed to get her that information. We ask that if something arises, or if there in an emergency you directly contact Mrs. McSweeney in the front office to get more information. If we are still waiting for your medication please understand that we need that immediately in order to prepare for the trip.
4. Students will also receive their DC Sweatshirts, long-sleeve shirt, and two short-sleeve shirts next Friday March 8, 2019. This will be given out at the end of the day. Students may want to wash these items and make sure they pack them. Students need to always wear one of these shirts while on the trip.
Again, please look over the website and check back at least once a week to make sure your child is prepared for the trip!
If you have any other questions please reach out to Mr. Sams and he will contact you.
